    I am unable to complete my purchase of the food handler course. Why not?
    A:

    In most cases, it is because your credit/bank card information has been entered incorrectly or there are insufficient funds in your account. Another reason could be the security phrase was not entered correctly. The security phrase is case sensitive.
     

  • Q:
    How many questions are on the test and what grade do I need to pass it?
    A:

    There are 20 questions on the test. The passing score is 75%. The number of questions and passing grade score can be adjusted by the Bahamas Ministry of Health.

  • Q:
    How long is my food handler certificate valid for?
    A:

    Your food handler certificate is valid for one year.

  • Q:
    What if your printed certificate gets lost or misplaced? Or What if you change employers?
    A:

    No problem! The system keeps your certificate on file. Simply sign in to your account and print a duplicate.

  • Q:
    What happens after getting my online temporary certificate from this course?
    A:

    You must make an appointment with the food handler clinic by clicking on the "SIGN UP!" button to select a day and time to be assessed by the medical doctor.

  • Q:
    Why is there a timer on the left side of the screen?
    A:

    The timer ensures you completed each activity and determines whether you receive a certificate (If you do not receive a certificate at the end of the course, you will need to make sure you completed each activity).

  • Q:
    How many chances do I have to complete the course?
    A:

    You have three chances to receive a passing score of 75% or you will have to pay again.

  • Q:
    After getting my temporary online certificate from this course, what is next?
    A:

    You must make an appointment with the food handler clinic by clicking on SCHEDULE link.

  • Q:
    Is there a required dress code to visit the food handler clinic?
    A:

    Yes, you are to arrive at your scheduled appointment in time for registration.

    1. Nails must be clean, short, no acrylic, no nail polish/gel polish
    2. No ripped jeans
    3. No shorts
    4. No short dresses, no tight dresses
    5. No off the shoulder shirts

    Do I need to bring anything with me to the doctor visit?
    A:

    Yes, provide your printed online certificate, a government issued identification and pay $10.00 to the clerk for the doctor visit.

    How many modules are in this online course?
    A:

    There are 13 Modules. You will have up to 60 days to study but once the exam is started, it must be completed within 90 minutes. 

  • Q:
    Can I skip through the modules?
    A:

    No, all study material must be viewed for the designated time before you will be allowed to take the exam.

  • Q:
    How long is this course?
    A:

    Completing this course typically takes less than 2 hours from start to finish.

    If I run into any problems, while taking the course, who do I contact?
    A:
